Second-up got back early 3rd in a small field at this track in the G1 Ranvet on March 23 over 2000m, 1.3 len behind Via Sistina carrying 59kg at $9. Capable of a strong showing.

2. Military Mission (10) – Multiple Group 2 winner. Third-up today and won third-up previously. Resuming 3rd of 9 at Randwick in the LR Rand City on March 9 over 2000m, 1.5 len behind Serpentine with 61kg at $12. Last start second last in a small field at this track in the G1 Ranvet on March 23 over 2000m, 2.25 len behind Via Sistina with 59kg at $17. Has been racing well. Top prospects.

3. Ashrun (1) – Group 1 placegetter. Third-up today and won third-up in the past. Resuming came home strongly from last on the turn; 4th of 8 at Caulfield Hcp on February 24 over 2000m, 1.5 len behind Dunkel carrying 59kg at $11. Second run from a spell favourite; ran on from midfield and won by 1.75 len at Pakenham LR Pakenham Cup March 15 over 2500m defeating Glentaneous with 58kg at $2.90. Will be doing best work late.

4. More Felons (2) – Group 2 winner. Second run back. First-up after four months won by a nose at this track LR Pmatta Cup February 24 over 1900m on a soft track defeating Almania with 57kg at $21. Previously second-up 2nd in a small field at York in the G3 Silver Cup Stakes on July 15 over 2816m, head behind Hamish carrying 57kg at $11. Worth consideration.

5. Post Impressionist (3) – Group 3 winner. Second-up. First-up after seven months favourite; settled well back; won by 3.5 len at this track G3 N E Manion Cup March 23 over 2400m defeating Manzoice carrying 54.5kg at $3.80. Previously second-up 9th of 11 at Goodwood on August 5 over 2816m, on rain affected going; 35 len behind Sweet William with 60kg at $10. Solid top-three hope.

6. Gear Up (6) – Group 1 winner. Dual acceptor. Third-up today and won third-up previously. First-up sat on the pace when 3rd of 8 at Caulfield Hcp on February 24 over 2000m, 1.3 len behind Dunkel carrying 58.5kg at $26. Second-up won by a nose at Caulfield LR Vic Cup March 16 over 2000m defeating Mankayan with 57.5kg at $15. Fitter and should relish the step up to 2400m.

7. Kalapour (5) – Group 1 placegetter. Third-up today and won third-up in the past. First-up 10th of 14 at this track in the LR Pmatta Cup on February 24 over 1900m, on a slow track; 8 len behind More Felons with 58.5kg at $19. Last start 2nd of 7 at this track in the G3 Sky High on March 16 over 2000m, on a slow track; 4 len behind Lindermann with 55.5kg at $17. Faces a tough task.

8. Bois D’Argent (4) – Group 3 placegetter. Dual acceptor. Second-up. First-up after five months raced on the speed and boxed on steadily 2nd of 9 at Randwick in the LR Rand City on March 9 over 2000m, 0.9 len behind Serpentine with 57.5kg at $6. Previously second-up 3rd of 9 at Gosford in the LR Gosfordcup on May 6 over 2100m, 1.75 len behind Esti Feny carrying 55.5kg at $6. This will test.

9. Athabascan (11) – Group 3 winner. Third-up today and won third-up previously. First-up 6th of 8 at Randwick in the G1 V Elleegant on March 2 over 1600m, on a slow track; 6 len behind Think It Over carrying 59kg at $101. Second-up 4th of 7 at this track in the G3 Sky High on March 16 over 2000m, slow going 7 len behind Lindermann with 55.5kg at $4.50. Well held last time and facing tough task today.

10. Little Mix (8) – Dual acceptor. Last start 4th of 14 at this track in the G3 Epona on March 23 over 1900m, 1.3 len behind Osmose with 55kg at $7. Before that sat on the speed and boxed on steadily 5th of 17 at Randwick in the G3 Aspiration on March 9 over 1600m, 1.3 len behind Lekvarte carrying 57.5kg at $19. Unlikely to threaten.

11. Tom Kitten (9) – Spring Champion Stakes winner. Useful colt. Most recently 6th of 11 at this track in the G1 Rhil Gneas on March 23 over 2000m, 1.5 len behind Riff Rocket carrying 56.5kg at $3.30. Before that 4th of 11 at Randwick in the G1 Rand Gneas on March 9 over 1600m, 1.0 len behind Celestial Legend carrying 56.5kg at $7. Should be right in the finish.

Our tips for the race!

Group 1 place getter BUCKAROO (1) was caught deep so made a dash forward before the turn then stuck on well to finish third last start over 2000m at this track. The testing material. Group 1 winner GEAR UP (6) narrow winner by a nose last time out at Caulfield but will have to carry more weight. Should be in the finish. Multiple Group 2 winner MILITARY MISSION (2) ran fifth last time out at this track. Sure to make his presence felt. Group 1 place getter ASHRUN (3) was back in winning form last start when he scored at Pakenham – ready to take another step forward third-up from a break. Group 3 winner POST IMPRESSIONIST (5) has claims.
